The following briefly describes
our
most common personal lines policies.
Homeowners
A homeowners policy is designed to cover the building, personal property, advertising and loss of use of the owner of a dwelling used as a primary residence. The policy also includes personal liability and medical payments to others.
Flood
A homeowners policy does not include damage due to floods. A separate flood policy may be purchased for flood losses.
Automobile
Automobile insurance is designed to protect the owner of a vehicle from personal financial loss and fulfill the financial responsibility and compulsory insurance laws of their particular state. Coverage's available include the following: liability, uninsured motorist, underinsured motorist, medical payments, comprehensive and collision.
Condominium Unit Owners Insurance
A unit owner of a condominium complex may purchase coverage for his/her personal effects, loss of use, loss assessments and personal liability. The building coverage is normally provided by the Homeowners Association on a master policy.
Personal Umbrella
An individual can purchase a personal umbrella policy that provides additional liability coverage above those provided by other personal policies, such as automobile and homeowner policies.
Earthquake Coverage
Most homeowners policies exclude coverage for damage caused by an earthquake. Approximately 10 to 15 earthquakes are recorded annually in South Carolina. A separate policy for this coverage can be quoted if your home qualifies.
Identy Theft Protection
With nearly 9 million victims in 2005, identity theft is America’s fastest growing crime. Most people do not even realize they are a victim until nearly a year after it occurs. This new product provides the necessary support you need if this vicious crime occurs to you.
